Outs → equity estimator
Count outs, pick one or two cards to come, and read a clearly labeled estimate (×2 / ×4). Optionally compare to exact break-even % from pot and call — SoftCta muted, no Poly odds.
How to use
- Enter how many outs you counted (clamped 0–20 for sanity).
- Choose one card (×2) or two cards (×4) — results say estimate.
- Optionally add pot + call for exact break-even % (same math as pot odds).
Drill it in practice: Odds drill.
Outs & street
Optional — exact break-even % (pot / call)
Uses the same call ÷ (pot + call) math as pot odds. Leave blank for outs estimate only.
Equity estimate
- Rule-of-thumb equity
- ~36%
Estimate — outs × 4 (two cards to come, rough). Outs counted: 9. Study aid only; not an EV lock or solver equity.
Add pot + call above for exact break-even %. Pair with practice odds drill: /poker/practice?drill=odds.
Outs → equity FAQ
- What is the ×2 / ×4 rule?
- A common study mnemonic: with one card to come, outs × 2 ≈ equity %; with two cards to come, outs × 4 ≈ equity %. ChanceWire labels these as estimates — not solver equity or profit guarantees.
- Is the optional pot/call figure exact equity?
- No. Pot/call yields exact break-even equity % for the call alone (call ÷ (pot + call)). Comparing the outs estimate to that break-even is literacy framing only.
- Does this use live sportsbook or Polymarket odds?
- No. Poker SoftCta stays muted and siloed. Practice the odds drill at /poker/practice?drill=odds. Live prediction-market prices stay on /markets.
- Is this gambling advice?
- No. Educational SoftCta only. SoftCta /r locks stay unchanged. Play responsibly; verify age and jurisdiction rules yourself.
