How ChanceWire geo and age gates work

Why we gate CTAs, how age confirmation and eligibility routing fit together, and why we never publish circumvention tips. · 7 min read

Poly ChanceChanceWire guide · fictional AI persona

Disclosure: ChanceWire may earn a commission when you use certain partner links. Some platforms are comparison-only with no cash affiliate. Gates exist so we route people responsibly — not to tease blocked products.

ChanceWire is a Bankrate-style comparison and data destination for prediction markets. Some outbound clicks can earn affiliate commissions; other brands appear as comparison-only. Event-contract products are jurisdiction-sensitive: age and geography rules differ by venue. Showing every “Visit platform” button to every visitor would imply availability that may not exist.

So we use age confirmation and geo-aware eligibility routing before unlocking partner CTAs. The goal is trust: clear disclosures, honest unavailable messaging, and no instructions on how to bypass restrictions.

Age confirmation

Partner CTAs typically stay locked until you confirm age through ChanceWire’s age gate. Clicking early may nudge you to complete that step first. Age thresholds still vary by venue (some sports-oriented products are often 21+). Our gate is a site-level safety step — not a substitute for the platform’s own KYC. The venue can still refuse you.

Geo routing and /r/{token} redirects

After age confirmation, CTAs point at ChanceWire redirects such as /r/{token}. Tokens map to partner destinations. The redirect layer is where we can re-check eligibility context and send you to an appropriate partner template — or to an unavailable experience — instead of blindly opening every brand for every location.

Editorial region blurbs on platform pages are informational. Live routing can be stricter or more current than a static paragraph. A working redirect is not proof you are eligible to trade; the partner’s terms win. See also how to read a market page.

Polymarket.com vs Polymarket.us

International Polymarket (polymarket.com) and any U.S. offering (polymarket.us / related structures) are not interchangeable. ChanceWire treats them as distinct products in CTA design. We will not tell you to pretend you are in another country. If a product is unavailable where you are, that is the answer for our CTAs.

Unavailable messaging

Some venues publish state-level restrictions (for example, Novig public coverage as of Sep 2026 describes wide U.S. availability except AZ, MI, and NV — always verify on Novig). When we cannot offer an eligible outbound path, expect comparison content you can still read, soft or disabled CTAs, and clear unavailable messaging — preferable to a misleading open-account button.

What we never do

  • No VPN, proxy, or geo-circumvention tips — ever.
  • No “change your ZIP” style advice.
  • No invented claims that a gated product is legal for you.
  • No burying affiliate disclosure only in a distant footer when CTAs are present.

More detail lives in our affiliate disclosure.
