Both Kalshi and Novig sit in the U.S. CFTC-regulated event-contract conversation and both use USD rails. They are not the same product. Kalshi is known for a general event-contract catalog — economics, weather, and other markets, plus sports where offered. Novig is a sports-focused market via Ludlow Exchange: peer-to-peer sports event contracts, not a multi-theme news or macro venue.

Practical differences

  • Catalog shape. Choose Kalshi when you need non-sports event contracts in one regulated USD venue, or sports as one slice of a broader book. Choose Novig when you want a sports-first DCM experience.
  • Access. Kalshi is U.S.-focused and regulated; confirm eligibility on Kalshi. Novig is likewise U.S./USD-oriented for sports traders; public coverage as of Sep 2026 describes wide availability except AZ, MI, and NV — verify, and expect age often 21+. Physical location matters.
  • Fees. Kalshi: exchange fees per contract (see Kalshi’s schedule). Novig: peer-to-peer structure — check Novig for current fee/spread details. ChanceWire does not invent schedules.
