Disclosure: ChanceWire may earn a commission when you use certain partner links. Some platforms are comparison-only with no public cash affiliate. We do not invent fee percentages or commission amounts. Always verify the operator’s live fee schedule.
Two markets can show similar Yes prices and still leave you with very different net outcomes after trading fees, spreads, withdrawal costs, or profit fees. This guide teaches what to look for — not a snapshot of “current %” that would go stale tomorrow.
Fee dimensions checklist
- Trading / exchange — Per-contract? Maker vs taker? On notional or on profit?
- Spread — How wide is bid–ask on contracts you care about?
- Deposit / withdrawal — Fiat rails, crypto gas, flat fees?
- Profit / cash-out fees — Common on some older political markets — verify current terms.
- Other — Inactivity or transfer fees buried in terms?
ChanceWire platform primers describe fee posture in words — never treat those blurbs as a live calculator.
Polymarket
Typically crypto collateral (e.g. USDC on Polygon) — onboarding and gas are part of total cost. Public materials have historically emphasized relatively low trading friction on many markets; schedules change — confirm on Polymarket. ChanceWire surfaces live odds from Polymarket’s public API; partner CTAs (where eligible) use AgeGate + disclosure.

Kalshi
USD on a CFTC-regulated exchange narrative. Exchange fees per contract are part of the product — open Kalshi’s fee schedule for formulas and examples. ChanceWire will not invent a number here. Soft / comparison-oriented CTA until BD clears a public cash affiliate path.

PredictIt
USD with familiar political-market UX. Public posture includes fees that can be material on profits and withdrawals, plus position limits — verify current rates and caps on PredictIt. Active traders should model fees before assuming “cheap because USD.”

Novig
USD peer-to-peer sports event contracts (Ludlow Exchange / CFTC DCM narrative). Costs may show up as exchange fees and/or the bid–ask you trade through — check Novig for current details. Soft comparison CTA only; no invented publisher commissions.

How to compare without fake precision
- Open each operator’s fee / help page in a tab.
- Price the same hypothetical trade size on each (including exit).
- Add funding costs (wires, card, crypto gas).
- Factor liquidity — a “cheap” fee with a wide spread is not cheap.
- Re-check after product updates; don’t rely on last year’s screenshot.
Use ChanceWire compare pages for product-shape orientation, then verify dollars on the venue. See also how prediction markets work.
